Fishing Reports - Prep Page

Southwest Colorado is home to some of the most beautiful rivers and streams in the United States.  The Gunnison River, nestled within Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, offers incredible views of 2,000-foot rock walls and Gold Medal trout fishing.  The Uncompahgre River, a lesser known but productive river, flows through Ouray, Ridgway, and Montrose and holds sizable rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout.  The Cimarron River, a smaller stretch of water originating in Uncompahgre National Forest, also has nice rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout.
