The most obvious purpose for it would be as a shuck on a Sparkle Dun or X Caddis dry fly, but it can make a great nymph or wet fly thorax with picked-out legs, or even a full-length body (looks great with a rib). However you use it, that trilobal reflection will ring the dinner bell for the trout.
